WORKING FIRE
COMM Fire Department was dispatched to a reported Structure Fire on Wheeler Road,
at the corner of Race Lane, in Marstons Mills at approx 15:04 hrs on Wednesday April 8, 2026.

On arrival, COMM Engine 3 reported heavy smoke showing from an attached garage with
a vehicle actively on fire in the garage. A "working fire assignment" was declared
bringing additional resources to the scene and for station coverage.

Engine 3 advanced an attack line and the fire was quickly contained to the vehicle.

Two occupants were evaluated and treated for exposure to the smoke.

Units from COMM FD, Cotuit, West Barnstable, and Hyannis went to the scene.
Units from Barnstable, Hyannis, Yarmouth, Joint Base, and Falmouth provided coverage.
