BLIZZARD OF 2026
Cape Cod got hit pretty hard on February 22-23, 2026 with about 2 feet of
snow
and winds 60+ mph for about 24 hours.
Fire Departments across the Cape handled a considerable
increase in storm related calls
with wires down, power outages, a few fires, and lots of calls for service.
Power company trucks from far away responded to the Cape to help out.
Crews from Kentucky and West Virginia helped get me get power back
after 4 days of power out from wires down.
The impact of the storm resulted in several days of recovery
with public safety and others working long hours for days.
