COLORADO
January 31, 2025 - February 18, 2025
Our Colorado 2025 Trip started out from Boston with a flight
to Denver International Airport.
About 1 hour south of Denver is Colorado Springs, which became
our home
for a few weeks.
The Colorado Springs area is beautiful in many ways.
So much to see and do, including Pikes Peak, the Garden of the Gods,
the IAFF Fallen Firefighters Memorial, and so much more.
Part of our trip also enjoyed a special 2 night visit to New Mexico.
The visit, like most of our trips, included visits to various
Fire Stations
and all the neighborhoods and scenery observed in the dot to dot travel in
between.
The weather in February, was as warm as 72 degrees one day,
and 1 degree or below just days later.
We had a wonderful visit and look forward to more visits in the future.

Colorado Springs IAFF Fallen Firefighter Memorial
Feb 1

Colorado Springs is home to the IAFF Fallen Firefighter Memorial.
Thousands of names, representing the Bravest from the USA and Canada
are memorialized year by year on these walls.

Every name on the wall represents someone who has a unique story.
Many great personalities, with senses of humor, challenges, and
families left behind. It is truly a humbling tribute to so many
Brothers and Sisters who passed in the Line of Duty.

Several members from Cape Cod are memorialized on these walls.
We remembered Snuffy, Tom, Freddie, Greg, and Don.
They are forever in the hearts and minds of many.

Captain Donald E. "Snuffy" Souza, COMM L-2346 MA
died in 2001.

Senior Private Frederick C. Lewis, Jr was also a member
of COMM L-2346 MA. He died in 2016.

Captain Gregory D. Clements of the Falmouth FD L-1397
died in 2017.
