Edgartown now has a Dive Trailer
It is a Work Horse and carries (8) sets of  SCUBA gear
Purchased in 2005

Edgartown has taken delivery of a new 2006 Ford / Horton
Type III ambulance.

The 1999 Ford E350 / Horton Type III previously assigned to
R-262 / Echo 90
 



The 1994 Ford / Road Rescue ambulance
that was most recently R-263 / Echo 91
has been retired.

FIRE STATION NEWS

Fire Stations

Edgartown is currently upgrading its two fire stations.
An addition is being built on the rear of the main station on Pease Point Way.
This will provide additional apparatus room, meeting space, and facilities.
It is expected to be completed by summer 2006.

Chappaquidic Fire Station
On Chappy, the new 3 bay fire station is shaping up and weather tight.
It is expected to be completed by summer 2006 also.
The new station is being built on the site of the old Chappy station
which has been torn down.

Three bays with a small kitchen/meeting room and office.

The station has still not opened due to some contractor issues.
 

Fire Stations
Edgartown
Edgartown is reported to be planning a new fire station
on Chappaquidick Island.  The present Chappy station is
a single bay station. A new station would provide protection for a growing
section of Edgartown with many large homes. Nov 2004
